5 handy marketing Strategy tips to implement into your business

After my last blog post "Why working on your own unique business marketing strategy is essential!" I've had plenty of questions and many of you are yet to understand or kick start our marketing strategy journey.

Here are my 5 top tips to consider when working on your business strategy:

1) Always remember that each and every time that you market your business, it should have an objective behind it that you wish to achieve.

From each Instagram post to every CTA on your website, it always requires an end goal.

If you create a blog post in order to encourage customers to sign up and collect their email data, then before posting, you ensure said post has plenty of clear, directive suggestions for customers to do so.

2) Do not fall for the “one size fits all” strategy. What may work for the business next door to you, may not work for you.

We should all be working towards attracting our ideal customers and not promoting to the entire world (Ideal customers are for another day!).

If you are still trying to cater to EVERYONE, then you should really consider stopping the “putting all my eggs in one basket” strategy before you burn out of time, energy and money!

3) ALWAYS track your marketing results, whether it’s a Facebook advertising campaign or your weekly website visitor reports.

This way you are able to record your results, understand what is and isn’t working in your business and potentially implement them into future marketing strategies and plans.

4) If you are a newbie to business or your funds are looking scarce for you, don’t panic. We all have to start somewhere, and yes we all have quieter times.

Investing even a small amount of money into your marketing budget will completely change the game for you, however, if you really are low on the old marketing budget, then be sure to make the most of free platforms such as social media, groups and forums. You can network with other business owners to help word of mouth spread and collaborate often when you get the chance.

There are many ways of promoting your business at the beginning, there really is no excuse for not pushing forward and getting your name out there!

5) The phrase I use the most when working with business owners. Just be yourself.

Be authentic and genuine, show the love you have for your work within your content and your chosen promotional platforms and your enthusiasm and passion will consistently shine through. This is what attracts your ideal customers, and this is what will ultimately be the game changer with your sales!
